Recognition of Best Practice 2006
In April 2005 JobsGroup.net launched a new campaign to encourage more women to pursue
jobs in industry sectors where they are under-represented, specifically engineering,
rail, construction, utilities and aviation - sectors in which JobsGroup.net operates
online recruitment sites. The campaign included activity at schools, colleges and
on university campuses throughout the UK and resulted in a 300 per cent increase
in the number of women registering with JobsGroup.net technical sites.
The campaign was recognised by the Equal Opportunities Commission in March 2006
and included as an example of Best Practice in the EOC report Free to choose: Tackling
gender barriers to better jobs.
